About

Fully Online Based Diploma Program, with optional face to face practice at OFC College Centre. This course is designed to help learners who have little or no experience of caring for people with mental health illnesses, and want to work in healthcare, or those who need certificate at level 3. It is not just about factual information around the different types of mental health conditions, the role of healthcare workers and knowledge about how you and your community can support and communicate with people who suffer from them. WHAT YOU WILL STUDY The following units will provide you with evidence-based knowledge, skills and practice: Unit 1: Mental Health Awareness Unit 2: Communication in Healthcare practice Unit 3 Dementia: what it is Unit 4: Learning Disability and Communication practice Unit 5: Health and Social Care: What it is Unit 6: Clinical Practice theory (Optional practical at OFC Centre, but you will have to request an invitation letter) Entry requirement: You must have completed level 2 in any program with OFC College, as well as access to the internet and computer-based gadgets.
